What type of metal does Swarovski use to make their jewelery?
I was given several pieces of jewelery made by them, a necklace, charm bracelet, and earrings. What are their chains made out of? Is it sterling silver, white gold, etc?|||As far as I can see, most pieces are rhodium-plated, which means the main metal, usually gold, is layered with another to make it look silver.|||Swarovski does plate their metals in Rhodium, however, the base metal is not gold or sterling silver. It is either titanium, or a alloy and copper mix. It is considered "costume" or "fashion" jewelery. I know this because I work for them. :]
